The Southeast Asian Feminist Action Movement (SEAFAM) works to uphold human rights and democracy in Southeast Asia through a feminist perspective.

What we do

SEAFAM brings together grassroots feminist organisations, collectives, and communities from Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines to build solidarity and support one another.


As a movement, our values guide us in every step we take.

Our values reflect feminist and human rights principles.

Intersectionality

We believe that people's identities shape their lives, their opportunities, and how they are treated.

Co-operation

We are no-one without one another. A movement is the sum of its members.

Respect

We believe respect and non-discrimination must lie at the core of the feminist movement.

Justice

We are not free until all people are free. We believe in justice for all.

Feminist experts

It’s the twenty-first century, and we are no longer willing to accept all-male panels, resource people, and teams.
